Everybody loves a drink at Christmas. Wether its a cosy night in, a crazy night out, a party or a nice meal. A glass of wine is something most of us like to enjoy. But drinking alcohol isn't possible for all of us.
There are many reasons why you may not be able to drink. Maybe your pregnant? Breastfeeding? or a parent with a small child and you are responsible for them. Or maybe you are like me who also doesn't enjoy getting drunk but does enjoy a glass of wine.
For us, getting drunk is not a option. But you don't want to be that one person not drinking at a party, or the one with no glass of wine around the dinner table. This is where Eisberg Alcohol Free wine comes in! Their 0% alcohol wine is the perfect replacement for that glass of alcoholic wine. It looks like a glass of wine and no one would know that your not drinking alcohol.
For people who do normally enjoy the taste of a glass of wine, they may have some doubts about drinking a alcohol free wine. Does it taste nice? would be the first question.
Eisberg sent me 2 bottles of wine to try. We got sent a Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon.
I really love the designs of the bottles and the look of the wine inside the bottles. I think that its nice to see non alcoholic wine still look like a nice classy bottle of wine. Also the word Alcohol Free is written clearly on the front. As much as i'm trying to sell non alcoholic wine to you here, there is nothing worse than picking up a bottle of wine thinking its alcoholic and its not.
So now its time to pour and see what it tastes like. I decided to taste the chardonnay. If you are used to drinking strong tasting wines then it may take a few sips to get used to as it definetly doesn't have the strong taste alcoholic wine has. But I definetly liked the taste. It does have a wine taste to it, and it was a nice crisp and fruity flavour. It also wasn't over sweet like some alcohol free drinks. After a glass of it, I really did forget that I was drinking Alcohol free wine and was really enjoying drinking it. You actually finish a glass and want more and just like Alcoholic wine, you find yourself pouring yourself another glass. You may even find yourself opening another bottle. Only doing this doesn't result in a headache the next day.
So would I recommend Eisberg Alcohol Free wine to you? Yes, I definitely would say give it a go. You may be pleasantly surprised and thats your drink sorted for the holiday season.
Did you know that Eisberg also have some wine mocktail suggestions? I love drinking a cocktail at Christmas and so its great to know I can still enjoy this tradition but alcohol free. There is a choice of ones on the website, but I think Im definetly going to be trying the Cabernet Sauvignon Crush one out for the festive time! Using the bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon you add cherry juice, raspberry shrub, mint gomme and lime juice to make this yummy red fruity mocktail.
