The leaves are falling and the autumn colours are starting to come out. Autumn for me brings the opportunity to be able to have fun with crafts and activities and so Lily and I headed out to see what we could find.
Just outside our flats in the communal gardens the tree's are all starting to loose there leaves. There are crunchy ones, funny shaped ones and colourful ones. So for a start me and Lily decided to see which we could collect up. We took out a bucket and between us we found some great leaves that will be perfect for art and activities.
We then headed over to the church graveyard, its filled with tree's. Some really old and there are loads of different types of tree's to. There is one tree I have my eye on as I know last year when the leaves fell they were all of such amazing colours. This was a great place to forage for some autumn bits. Lily found some great things including some pine cones. I looked at the tree above where we found them and there are some huge ones up there that will eventually drop. So i'm going to have keep heading back as I think they will be picked up pretty quick.
We found -
Nice coloured and shaped leaves
Pine Cones
Sticks, and Twigs
Some Bark
Some Maple Helicopters. (Which I don't think is the real name for them)
and a few other little bits.
Stay tuned to see what activities we do with these items.
