This Sylvanian Family set I am about to tell you about to tell you about I can see becoming one of Lily's favourite sets.
We were sent the Sylvanian Families Grocery Market for Lily to test out and Lily is currently a huge fan of playing shopping so it is perfect for her.
Lily was so excited when she saw that what it was on the front of the box, and shouted out "shopping". She also is a huge Sylvanian fan so was pleased to have a new set to add to her collection.
It also comes with a tiny credit card and a shopping basket and bag. There are over 30 pieces in total so plenty of accessories to get creative with.
It probably took me about 30 mins total to set it all up. While I was setting up Lily enjoyed helping by placing all the food onto the shelves. When it is all set up it looks brilliant. Attention to detail is always great with Sylvanian sets.
She spent ages playing shopping with her new set. She would make one of the customers carry the shopping trolley and loved picking things from the shelf to make them buy.
The thing I love the most about Sylvanian families is that it is brilliant for childrens imagination. I just love watching and listening to Lily act out what the Sylvanians are doing.
The sets are aimed at children over 3 years old due to there being a lot of small parts which cause a choking hazard.
The set is £29.99 to buy and can be bought from Smyths Toy Store.
Would your child enjoy this set?
My granddaughter and I would adore this play set!
ReplyDeleteThe set looks super but what a shame they didn't include a shopkeeper figure. The children really love the Sylvanian range. So well designed.
ReplyDeleteThe look on lilys face says it all - great way to make learning fun

Seems like a nice toy, to provide imaginative play opportunities. As children are likely to encounter markets on days out with parents. Family members, Carers. As we all need to access healthy foodstuffs in our attempts at healthy living, etc.

Aww Lily looks thrilled! My sister still has all her original Sylvanian toys in the attic
ReplyDeleteShe looks so happy, I love Sylvanians and the imaginative play they inspire!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, she is a lucky little girl, these Sylvanians are fabulous for little ones
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loved these when she was younger!
ReplyDeleteLove sylvanian families - one of my favourite things to spend my pocket money on as a kid! xx
ReplyDeleteStickers for toy sets, yes :- I have heard other parents finding this element time consuming and fiddly. I suppose the thing is we are all really keen / eager / happy with the new item / toys, etc. And so, so excited about getting it out the box and trying it out. Eager to have fun :- Excitement, oh, to be young again, and treated to such delightful treats. Childhood is such a valuable / treasured time. Childhood passes so quickly.

It seems a shame that the toy set does not come with at least one Sylvannian figure. As could be shopkeeper / Stall - holder, etc. Also would allow child or children to be able to play and interact with the toy set promptly.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Company think people will by the toy set as an addition to their collection of Sylvannian families toys. Yet for some this toy set could be a Wonderful treat, as well as an introduction to Sylvannian families and thei collection /s, toys, etc. I personally would not consider buying it as an introduction / start :- As incomplete in that aspect.

Great looking toy. Looks like great fun. Likely encouraged children in regards to Healthy Eating / Healthy Living. As fresh fruit and vegetables ( as portrayed in the toy set ) are important aspects / ingredients for Health and Wellbeing.
