Breakfast! The Best Meal of the Day - With Ready Brek and Despicable Me 3

You probably all know how important breakfast is. Some say its one of the best meals of the day. So its something I always try and get my daughter to eat in the morning, and of corse as soon as I get a moment I like to try and eat some myself. Although this can sometimes mean eating breakfast nearer to lunch time. But thats a mums life... right?

One of the things I love the most about breakfast is how fast it can be to prepare. Maybe you have some cereal with milk, or maybe you pop a slice of toast into the toaster. The mornings are filled with many things to do and so a quick breakfast is something of a must in a house with children. But now it is winter I am also looking for a warm breakfast and so thats why one of my favourite things to make is a nice bowl of Ready Brek!

In all honesty Lily can have days where she loves Ready Brek and days where she doesn't. But she is 3 years old. That's just typical child behaviour for you. But ME! Well I can't get enough of it. I have been having Ready Brek each day so far and i'm really enjoying eating something that is leaving me warm and full up and ready to start the day. As well as it being super tasty it is also super nutritious and it gives a slow releasing energy that keeps me going through out the day.

Although I do enjoy mine plain, and the days I am rushing that is exactly the way I will have it, there are so many other different ways you can enjoy Ready Brek. You can add jam, fruit, honey, nuts, or even make then into yummy on the go foods like muffins. One thing I love to do for Lily is make a Smiley Face out of the fruit I place in her Ready Brek. It really puts a smile on her face and encourages her to get it all eaten up. I am always so happy to see her eat her Ready Brek as I know that it is super healthy as it contains no added salt or sugar and is made from wholegrain oats.

You can buy your packs of Ready Brek for as little as £2 from the supermarket and can get it in a range of flavours. To find out more about Ready Brek, head here

As you may have noticed on the boxes, Ready Brek are currently partnering up with Despicable Me 3.  The happy minion face on the box Lily loves to see and it just brings an extra element of excitement in this house. You can enter to win prizes every hour with these promotional packs of Ready Brek which is very exciting.

We were sent the Despicable Me 3 DVD to watch and also a Toy to test out which added to a morning of breakfast fun.

The toy was called Dru's Super Lair and was really colourful and had sound effects. It included 2 minions and a squishy dru that stuck to the walls of the toy and he would tumble down the shoot into the lair.

Lily loved playing with this and pressing the buttons making the minions fly from the ejector seat. But the most fun was making a minion shake in the minion shaker tube. The toy had so many fun elements and we were both delighted to hear the minion voices coming from it.

The toy is RRP £39.99 and can be bought here.

  13. We recently had a nice treat of a full English Breakfast at Garden Centre. Was a nice treat, and thoroughly enjoyed:- Especially given fact of weather becoming rather chilly. It was also nice to have a browse around the Garden Centre, as now well stocked with Christmas decorations, Christmas gifts, etc.

  15. Breakfast a good way to start the day. Though I wonder just how many may miss out on this important meal. Either through poverty :- financial, time.

Breakfast clubs seem to be a positive intervention, maybe workplaces should consider implementing Breakfast clubs within the workplace. May improve productivity, performance, profits, etc.
