My Photographic Eye #1

If you have read my about me section, you will know that I'm a professional photographer with a degree in photography. Over the years I have photographed many things from nature, to fashion, to street photography, to weddings. But since having Lily, I just don't get to spend much time taking photographs anymore and its something I really don't want to loose the love for.

So I have decided to do a monthly photography post to share with you. It may be new work, it may be old work but each month I want to either try and photograph something new or maybe re visit some of my past loved work.

So this month i'm starting with a little mini shoot that I did while out and about the other day. Lily was taking a nap (as you can see). So I thought it was the perfect opportunity to see what photographs I could get of beautiful Autumn. It was so great to get back doing something I loved, so nice to appreciate the golden hour of light that came, and so nice to be pulling out the stops such as laying in prickly leaves just to get the perfect photograph.

So I really hope that you enjoy looking at these photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Autumn is Golden

Which image is your favourite and why?

  2. My favourites are the close ups of the fallen leaves. They look so Autumnal. I'm glad you are taking up your photography again. You definitely need to carry on doing something that is yours apart from being a mummy. Otherwise you can start to feel that you have completely lost touch with your old self.

  4. I love the colours you've captured in image two. I like the idea of the leaves picture but I think it needs an object of interest in it, a conker or something! :)
