Our First Autumn Pictures

Autumn is one of my favourite months to start doing more art work. The weather is starting to get cooler but not to cold to go out for a nice autumn walk for inspiration. But also a little to cold to spend all day outside leaving plenty of time for art activities.

One of my favourite things to do in autumn is use what we find outdoors to make our pictures with so we went out to see what we could find to make our first autumn pictures.

At the moment the really colourful leaves aren't falling from the tree's so Lily found some pine needles that had dropped and started to put loads into her bucket. I thought these were a great starting point for a sticky picture.

I let Lily place down some glue onto some paper and then taught her how to sprinkle the pines onto the glue. She still tries to stick things where there isn't any glue and so at times i'm having to help show her where to stick them. But she really enjoyed this and made loads of art work.

Here are some photographs of her doing them and the finished results.

We cant wait to get out and collect for our next autumn sticking pictures.
