Heavenly Tasty Organics Taste Tester Review - Sweet Beet Veggie Waffles

We were really looking forward to trying the next part of our Heavenly taster pack we got. The Sweet Beat and Shallot Crispy Veggie Waffles. On the box they look so inviting and to me even the title sounds tasty. The flavour to me sounds really yummy, but I was a little curious to what Lily would think of these flavours.

As soon as I opened the box, I noticed that they were all in one packet. So not great if you want to quickly grab and go out. But great for a snack to have indoors in the afternoon or pack for a picnic. As I opened the packet the first thing that hit me was the smell. They had quite a strong smell but they definitely smelt tasty. They had quite a generous helping of them to, there was no disappointing feeling like when you open a packet of crisps to find the packet half empty.

I emptied a handful of them into a bowl for Lily and took them to her into the front room, she was ready for a snack and almost ripped the bowl from my hand before I could get a photo. But I managed one.

The snacks are nice and crispy just like it says on the packet and they are a lovely red colour which makes them look even more appealing. Especially to a child.

Lily tucked into them straight away with no hesitation. No looking at them wondering what they were and the strong smell obviously didn't put her off.

I'm really pleased that Lily likes these because they are different by being made from vegetables instead of fruit or biscuit and so a really healthy snack for her to eat. I even tried one myself and I have to admit, I would quite happily sit and eat them as a snack myself, though I won't, I shall let Lily have them. Haha.

Lily sat and ate quite a few before I suddenly noticed she started to dribble, and Oh No! her dribble was bright red and her lips looked slightly like she had been trying to apply lip gloss on a train. I quickly scrambled for a bib before it got onto her nice white top. I'm not sure if they would stain but I'm not going to risk it and so on goes the bib. Lily hates wearing a bib so If I can avoid it I normally will so this was a down side for me with this flavour of waffles.

I then thought to myself oh no I bet her hands are all red to. To my surprise they were completely clean. No colour had gone onto her hands at all. Which is definitely a bonus.

Lily ate a good 4 of them before started to crush them up and play with them and it was only then her hands got messy. But still not very as I didn't need to wipe them with a wet wipe. To which I then took them away from her and put them aside on the table where she could reach them later.

Lily did go back and finish them off later all by herself, showing she really did enjoy these as a snack.

I would definitely buy these for Lily from the shops on a regular basis and I think they are a great little snack to have in the house.

We give them a Thumbs up for
 - How tasty they are
 - How generous the amount we get is
 - The inviting look of the waffles
 - How crunchy and crispy they are
 - How the hands don't get messy
 - How healthy they are

We give them a thumbs down for
 - Turning dribble red
 - Not coming in handy to go packets

Thank you to Heavenly Tasty for letting us try these and we look forward to trying and reviewing the next flavour which is Carrot and Cumin.
