Lily and her Love for Books

Lily has loved reading from a really young age. She got her first books at the age of 1 months old which were some contrast coloured books. She really enjoyed looking at the colours.

Lily got bought her first story books at about 3 months old by a friend. She now owned her first classics such as Going on a Bear Hunt and How Much I Love you. Soon after I bought her some touch and feel books. Lily loved the touch and feel books and would understand to touch the feely bits.

The touch and feel books were Lily's favourite for quite a while and I got her a nice collection of them and she would always love looking at them at the library.

Books are now one of Lily's favourites and I always make sure I have them out for her to get for herself to read. She has quite a nice collection which will keep growing and growing. We now have a regular story time and she will quite happily sit still and listen to most books.

I'm really pleased that Lily has a love for books as I love children's books myself and its a great way for her to learn, Books not only help with words, reading and talking but also great for helping imagination and creative play.
