Lily's first food was carrot that I gave her at 5 months old. She loved it and ate way more than I thought she would. To this day Lily loves her carrots and they would be the first thing she would eat from her plate of food.
In fact Lily enjoys a lot of vegetables, if she isn't eating carrots then she would be eating peas, green beans or broccoli.
But of course I don't just serve her vegetables, and Lily will eat quite a lot of foods. One meal that always goes down well would be a Sunday Roast, She loves gammon and chicken with her roast dinners along with her veg and potatoes. I know what your thinking, where is the yorkshire pudding? Unfortunately up until recently, anything containing egg made lily sick. I'm currently trying her with foods containing egg to see if it was a short lived tolerance. Fingers crossed.
Her second love would be fish fingers, Lily could eat them everyday if I let her. I'm always really surprised at the amount of them she eats which is 3 per meal.
Lily also loves beans or spaghetti hoops, which I always serve with potatoes in some form and a slice of toast.
Heading back to the start of the day to talk about breakfast, Lily can be quite fussy with breakfast but one thing that never fails is a slice of buttered toast. I gave Lily toast from 6 months to chew on and its the one food I can always guarantee she will eat.
Next is lunch which is one of the meal times where sometimes she will eat happily and some days won't. Her favourite thing to have for lunch is a picking plate. On the plate I put her Organix crisps, Organix crackers, grated cheese, ham, and olives, and sometimes she will have cracker bread with cheese spread on also. She loves this as she sits in her high chair and helps herself to which she wants to eat when.
I would love to know about what your children love to eat? or any other food ideas that she may love? Feel free to leave a comment and let me know.
